Job Description
As a User Experience Researcher at Intel, you will play a pivotal role in understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations to inform the design and development of our next-generation products and platforms. You will work within a dynamic, cross-functional team, employing a range of research methodologies to gather insights that drive user-centered innovation. This role requires a passion for users, a strong methodological toolkit, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable design recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, field studies, and contextual inquiry.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify research questions and define research objectives.
- Recruit and screen appropriate participants for research studies, ensuring diverse representation.
- Analyze research data, synthesize findings, and develop compelling, actionable insights that influence product strategy and design.
- Communicate research findings and recommendations effectively through presentations, reports, and workshops to various audiences.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Intel's UX research practices and methodologies.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX research or a related field.
- Proficiency in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., usability testing, in-depth interviews, surveys, ethnographic studies, diary studies).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research findings persuasively.
- Experience with UX research tools (e.g., user testing platforms, survey tools, data analysis software).
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in a related field.
- Experience researching complex technical products or platforms (e.g., enterprise software, developer tools, hardware interfaces).
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Portfolio showcasing examples of past research projects and their impact.
