Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Ski Resort Staff at Whistler Blackcomb for the upcoming winter season. Various positions are available across departments including lift operations, guest services, food & beverage, rental operations, and retail. This is an exciting opportunity to live and work in one of Canada’s most breathtaking mountain towns, with comprehensive visa sponsorship and staff housing provided for eligible international applicants. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a positive and safe experience for all visitors.
- Operate and maintain resort equipment, such as ski lifts, according to safety protocols (for lift operations roles).
- Assist guests with inquiries, directions, and product information (for guest services and retail roles).
- Prepare and serve food and beverages, maintain cleanliness standards, and handle transactions (for food & beverage roles).
- Manage equipment rentals, fittings, and maintenance checks (for rental operations roles).
- Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments to ensure seamless resort operations.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and local regulations.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic outdoor environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Physical stamina to perform job duties, which may include standing for long periods, lifting, and working in varied weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, or outdoor recreation.
- Prior experience working in a ski resort or similar seasonal environment.
- Proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
- Valid driver's license (for certain roles like transportation or maintenance).
