Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join our team in Sierra Vista, Arizona. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our industrial facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical codes, safety procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a demanding environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous and safe operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, equipment, and components, including motors, generators, transformers, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine repair procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Operate various electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Participate in emergency call-out rotations as required.
Required Skills
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a heavy industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical codes (e.g., NEC) and safety standards.
- Experience with motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and PLCs.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues systematically.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or vocational training in Electrical Technology.
- Experience with high voltage systems (up to 480V or higher).
- Familiarity with mining equipment and processes.
- PLC programming and diagnostic experience (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens).
- Experience with instrumentation and control systems.
