Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Butler to provide exceptional service and seamless household management for a prestigious private residence in Agege, Lagos State. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, impeccable etiquette, and a proactive approach to anticipating the needs of the residents. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining the highest standards of luxury and comfort, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the household. The Butler will act as the primary point of contact for household needs, managing various aspects from guest services to inventory and staff coordination, all while upholding the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized, high-standard service to residents and their guests, anticipating needs and ensuring comfort.
- Manage and coordinate all household operations, including scheduling, inventory, and procurement of supplies.
- Oversee and direct other household staff (e.g., housekeepers, chefs, drivers) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist with meal service, including setting tables, serving food and beverages, and clearing/cleaning.
- Manage household budgets and petty cash, providing accurate records and reports.
- Handle guest reception, luggage, and ensuring their comfort during their stay.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the residence.
- Arrange and coordinate travel plans, appointments, and social engagements for residents.
- Ensure the security and privacy of the residence and its occupants at all times.
- Manage wardrobe care, including packing, unpacking, and liaising with dry cleaners.
- Oversee maintenance and repairs, ensuring the property remains in pristine condition.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Butler in a luxury private residence or 5-star hotel environment.
- Exceptional knowledge of etiquette and protocol.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate household staff.
- Discretion, trustworthiness, and a high level of integrity.
- Proficiency in basic household budget management and record-keeping.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal Butler training certification from a recognized institution.
- Experience with smart home systems and modern household technology.
