Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic software development team in Lewisville, Texas. As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our innovative software products. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features and existing functionalities.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and prioritize software defects using bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate with developers to understand product requirements and ensure testability of features.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on software quality to development and product teams.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure that they do not introduce new issues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in software quality assurance or testing (2+ years).
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
- ISTQB certification or similar.
